Find art for all ages in Brooklyn

Parents, if you’re looking for a fun and constructive way for your kids to exert some energy, art is the perfect activity for any busy and creative child.

However, New York City’s Art Fun Studio is not just for the kids. Parents can participate too getting in tune with their inner child and artist. This Brooklyn-based studio offers a variety of programs from kid’s birthday parties to adult sip and paint parties. Unlike their competitors, Art Fun Studio said it is their goal to provide personal attention to each one of their guests, along with a “cozy and welcoming atmosphere.”

Art Fun Studio is fairly new on the New York art scene, as it has been serving its Brooklyn community since 2015. While they provide entertainment, their dedication lies in offering a unique and fun form of education. You wont find just your typical canvas painting classes here.

“We are helping every person to discover and express their hidden and vibrant talents by appreciating and creating art,” said founder Alla Baksanskaya. “Participation in art significantly improves a child’s learning and development potential while adults enjoy a reduction in stress from the sheer fun of being creative.”

Baksanskaya understands the importance of art in development, having gotten interested in the industry at a young age, and she is now an award-winning, professional artist. Her passion for educating through art extends outside the walls of the studio as she has written books on art projects as well as “developed 30 fun art and learning activities for kids called Seashell Picasso Mosaic Kits.” When she’s not in the studio, she spends time traveling around the country teaching art workshops to kids.

You’l find that much of Baksanskaya’s work and projects intertwine with Art Fun Studio’s programs. One of their most unique offerings is their focus on mosaics that use natural materials like seashells, crystals and stones. This has become a favorite in the studio for kids and parents alike. It’s also somewhere where you can find unique pottery and ceramic painting classes for all ages. This can be offered for kids birthday parties, or they can opt to paint on a canvas.

They even offer toddler birthday parties for 1-4 year olds, so you don’t have to worry about cleaning up their mess in your own home.

“Painting ceramic figurines and plaques can be the perfect art form for a child because they take a known shape and bring it to life with color and texture,” Baksanskaya said. “The same applies to canvas painting, we help kids to achieve desired results with instructions, high-quality art materials – paint, brushes, canvases.”

She adds that their Ceramic and Canvas Birthday Party Packages are some of their most popular programs as they cover everything needed and the kids get a kick out of the art, while also getting to take home their masterpiece at the end of the party.

For the adults looking to have a little fun, you don’t have to be a talented artist to participate. Their private sip and paint parties extend to all occasions like birthdays, bachelorette parties, showers, team building and much more. You’ll be guided by a local artist, so you can relax, socialize, and enjoy the process, while possibly stepping out of your comfort zone.

“Open your mind for something new, inspiring, creative and simply give yourself a chance to try,”  Baksanskaya said. “Do not afraid to make something wrong. You will be amazed with your result!

If you don’t have a party to plan, but want to visit Art Fun Studio, they offer a number of walk-in studio hours starting as low as $10. You can try out all their art sections from canvas and plaster, to ceramics and shells. Walk-in studio sessions are created with everyone in mind, from toddlers to grandparents. They offer kid-friendly ceramics of their favorite items and characters while also having more elegant pieces for the adults.

Baksanskaya has a goal to cater to everyone for every reason when it comes to art and its many benefits.

“Art is a special field where everyone can find something for yourself,” she said. “We have some classes with autistic and hyperactive people, people with special needs and problem with movements, also our programs help people on rehabilitation period after stroke and stress release.”

While the studio is meant to be fun and relaxing, the experience at Art Fun Studio can be rewarding in many ways. The studio is a proud cultivator of young artists who have participated and received awards for their work a the the Annual Sanibel Shell Show in Florida (where Baksanskaya has also won awards).

Whether you’re looking for a place to spent your next Saturday evening with the family, or plan the next party, Art Fun Studio is more than just a venue, as it educates and promotes fun and interactive learning for all ages.
